The Science Office was approached by SKAO’s Communications & Outreach department to develop an animation that would convey, in 60 to 90 seconds, their vision and values, the main aspects of their research, their network and that would also unveil their new image. And it had to be done is less than a month! Not an easy task, but through a very collaborative and close process between the two teams, we made it.

In January 2021, Square Kilometre Array (SKA) became an intergovernmental organisation – SKA Observatory (SKAO) – and now has a new brand that aligns with its vision, its mission and the values that define its identity and make it unique: diversity and inclusion, excellence, collaboration, creativity and innovation, and sustainability. The new logo and visual identity stem from these.

As part of this brand unveiling, we were happy to produce the ‘Discover the SKAO’s mission’ video, the first glimpse at SKAO’s new look. The video was released during SKAO’s Council meeting and has now been published in all their online platforms and social media channels.
