In May 2024, Marta joined EJR-Quartz as a content editor and writer for ESA Φ-lab (ESRIN, Frascati, Italy).
Based in Lisbon, Marta holds an MSc. Degree in Biological Engineering (Instituto Superior Técnico) and was a researcher in immunology and oncology at Instituto de Medicina Molecular and Champalimaud Foundation (2020-2023).
Passionate about Science Communication, Marta participated in several independent activities and was a member of Soapbox Science Lisbon, an outreach initiative dedicated to promoting the work developed by female scientists in STEMM fields. In June 2024, Marta started her own SciComm project in Portuguese, BioSciencePT (on Instagram), focusing on biological and citizen sciences.
