Jans is a science writer and editor based in the EJR-Quartz Leiden office. She is currently working as editor for ESA Science.
Jans holds a PhD in physics from the University of Amsterdam and has previously worked as writer and editor for the theoretical physics outreach website Quantum Universe and the popular science magazine Amsterdam Science. Aside from working for EJR-Quartz, she works as freelance science journalist and as educational content creator for LeerLevels, at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
