Originally from the south of Portugal, Iara is now based in the not-so-sunny Netherlands, holding a MSc. Degree in Astronomy and Science Communication and Society (Universiteit Leiden).
Since 2019, Iara has been involved in several formal and informal science communication activities. Her passion in astronomy and reconnecting people with science has led her to study the relationship between astronomers and their audience.
Outside of working hours, you can find Iara by the beach or dancing.
