Emma joined EJR-Quartz as an Editor for the European Space Agency in April 2025, based at the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT), in the UK.
Previously, she spent nearly ten years as a freelance science writer, working with some of the UK’s foremost science facilities, including Diamond Light Source and ISIS Neutron and Muon Source.
Emma has a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics and an MSc in Ethnobotany, which she combines in her passion project – a podcast about growing plants in space, called Gardeners of the Galaxy.
