Emily is a senior editor who freelances for us and provides support on different projects.
She worked as a science editor for the European Space Agency’s web portal team, based at ESTEC, the European Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands for over 10 years. She covered the science news for all of ESA’s space science missions, and managed numerous social media accounts, including @esascience. Her career highlight is contributing to the communications success of the Rosetta mission, where she played the voice of @ESA_Rosetta on Twitter.
Previously Emily was deputy editor for Astronomy Now magazine and website editor for Astronomy Now Online. She has a first class honours degree in planetary science and a PhD specialising in impact cratering from University College London.
