Claudia Sciarma joined EJR-Quartz in 2023 as Junior Editor.
Born in the Tuscan countryside of Florence, Claudia has a Master’s degree in Physics and Astrophysics and studied Science Communication at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA). Before joining EJR-Quartz, Claudia worked in science communication at the European Southern Observatory (ESO). She also collaborated with Galileo Museum in Florence and with Media Inaf, the online news outlet of the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF). In love with writing and humanities, Claudia utilises an interdisciplinary approach when she writes articles and gives talks. One of her greatest passions is an ancient Greek astronomical instrument: the Antikythera Mechanism.
