Cathrin is currently working as Astronaut Communication Support at the European Space Agency and is based at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne, Germany.
She holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Information and Communication from the University of Applied Sciences Ansbach.
Cathrin began her journey at ESA in 2022 as a Young Graduate Trainee in the Media Relations Office at ESTEC. After two years in the Netherlands and a period of travel, she joined the Human and Robotic Exploration (HRE) Communications Team in March 2025, where she now supports astronaut communications across missions and outreach initiatives.
