Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a vast network of expert teams and high-tech infrastructure to make a space mission succeed. As Editor for Operations Activities at ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC), Azul helps bring space missions to life by communicating the latest operational achievements that this network delivers for its spacecraft.
Azul has a graduate degree in microbiology and a passion for exploration and all matters space. As a writer, she was previously Co-Editor and Head of the Astrobiology section of PLASMA Magazine. Her freelance work generally covers space and astrobiology related topics, science history and the intersection between science, art, and culture.
